1. Who we are
Kryptech Systems (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for personal information collected through this website. You can reach us at info@kryptechsystems.com.
Questions about your personal information go to our Information Officer at info@kryptechsystems.com. The Information Officer is registered with the Information Regulator.
2. What we collect
- When you book a call: your name, email address, company (optional), what you're building and your project description, and the time you choose.
- When you send the contact form: your name, email address, phone number and company (both optional), project type, budget range and message.
- When you message us on WhatsApp: your phone number, name as shown on WhatsApp, and the messages you send.
- When you browse the site, if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate location (city level) and an anonymous identifier.
We don't collect special personal information, and the site isn't intended for children under 18.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, schedule calls and prepare quotes.
- To deliver and support projects you sign up for.
- To understand how the website is used so we can improve it (analytics, only with your consent).
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We process your information because you asked us to (for example, by booking or sending the form), because it's needed to conclude or perform a contract with you, because you consented (analytics), or because the law requires it. We don't sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
4. Who processes it for us
We use trusted service providers (operators) who process information on our behalf and under their own security obligations:
- Calendly — call booking and scheduling.
- Google — Google Calendar and Google Meet for calls, Google Workspace for email, and Google Analytics for website statistics (only if you accept analytics cookies).
- Resend — delivering contact form emails and confirmations.
- Vercel — hosting the website.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us there.
Some of these providers store information outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers bound by data-protection laws or agreements that give a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to a project: up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted.
- Client and project records: for as long as the law requires (generally at least five years for financial records).
- Analytics data: up to 14 months.
6. Cookies
The site uses only essential cookies unless you accept analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure visits. If you decline, analytics doesn't load. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
7. How we protect it
Information is sent over HTTPS, access is limited to people who need it, and our providers use industry-standard security. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information, we'll notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you can:
- ask whether we hold your personal information and request a copy;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to us processing it, or withdraw consent (for example, to analytics);
- complain to the Information Regulator.
